   […] The String Cheese Incident will release Song In My Head, their first studio album in nine years, on April 29th.  The band has premiered a video that shows in studio recording of “So Far From Home”. This brief insight into the nature of recording an album shows how stressful it can get but the result is well worth it.  Guitarist Billy Nershi says “things felt a lot fresher, personal relationships were a lot better, we were a lot more willing to not push each other’s buttons — after 15 years together you know exactly how to push each other’s buttons,” he says. Nershi adds, “We realized that it’s better to let a lot of stuff slide and not dig into each other too much and just enjoy it. We’ve been enjoying the music a lot more since.” With the help of legendary producer Jerry Harrison they have created a ten track album showcasing many of the songs fans have come to love through live performances over the last ten years. To hype up the release they have provided free downloads of two of the tracks off the album.  “Let’s Go Outside” is available as a free download through Stone Brewery, which recently partnered with keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth to create the Collective Distortion IPA.
